The Armagh final took place tonight in Whitecross club.
Tara O’Hanlon represented the club with a beautiful rendition of Red is the Rose. This was the toughest competition of the night with 11 different clubs competing. The county title went to Sean Tracey’s club but Tara did herself and the club proud.
Our Scór stalwart Kieran Larkin performed a fantastic recitation and deservedly won the county title. Congratulations Kieran.
Our dancers continued the successful streak and won Armagh medals in both Céilí and Set Dancing. They were also awarded the Rince Foirne cup and are the 1st club to ever win this cup for Céilí dancing. For Set Dancing, they won the Kevin Bell cup. This meant a lot to the dancers, many of whom danced with Kevin from a young age and knew him well. Well done to Ciara, Paula-Ann, Eileen, Danielle, Sarah, Ciara, Turlough and Patrick.
The support from Dromintee members tonight was fantastic and very much appreciated.
Kieran and the dancers will represent the club and county in the Ulster Semi-Final on 7th April in Killeavy.
The county competition continues on 26th April with the Tráth na gceist (quiz).
