Thanks to all who made the camp such a success. There were 3 days of excellent football skills on show from all of the children.
Each day was packed with quality Gaelic football coaching focusing on all of the basic skills, game scenarios and conditioned games to aid their development.
The children took part in speed & agility development with a focus on how to transfer that to the pitch through acceleration, reaction games and taking players on with the ball.
We had special guests come to speak to the children about their inter county careers and what they do in order to stay at the top of their game, special thanks to Aimee Mackin and Blaine Hughes for this.
Everybody has now left with a lot of football over the week which is brilliant. Hopefully they have taken some coaching cues from the excellent coaches who put a lot of work into the sessions and working on different areas of the game. Thanks to Stephen Dyas, Rachel McCabe, Greg McCabe, Scott Winters and helper Louis Winters.
The camp finished with a Mini All Ireland which showcased unbelievable quality, the competitive nature came out in each and every one of the children. The future is bright for the club after witnessing that display today.
Thanks, Scott & Greg.
