Dromintee girls backboned the Our Lady's Newry charge to their first Ulster "A" final at u14.5 age grade this afternoon. The Newry School led from start to finish despite having to withstand a strong fightback in the second half.
Played at an immaculate Glenn GAA pitch given the rainfall, the "home" side started very fast to race into a comfortable lead and establish a seven point gap at the break.
Loretto Omagh fought back to close the gap to two points with ten minutes to go but the Our Lady's girls finished strongly to close out a 3-10 to 3-04 semi-final victory. The Ulster Final opponents will be the winners of St Catherine's Armagh and Loretto Cavan.
Grace Conlon, Lily McBennett and Caoimhe O'Rourke each played important roles in their school's performance.
