A number of the 2024 girls Feile team returned to their formative alma mater this morning at Dromintee Primary School.

The girls were there to show the pupils the Armagh  Feile trophy which the club won for the first time earlier this year and ahead of their trip to the national finals in Sligo at the end of the month.

Primarily however they were back to say a huge thank you to the staff, pupils and parents who recently held a “jersey day” with the proceeds going to the Feile girls fundraising efforts.

Mrs McKeown & Mrs Kelly who have been very supportive of the entire squad were on hand to make a hugely generous donation to the girls which will assist them in making Feile a memorable experience.

The team were keen to stress their gratitude to the entire school
community and also to highlight the schools own recent success in the Cumann na mbunscoil tournaments where Dromintee made their own history winning both the boys and girls competitions.

The active partnership between the club and school has reaped huge dividends for both in recent times bolstered by the work undertaken by county player Greg McCabe with the after school sessions.

Present this morning were the five girls who still have younger siblings at the school- Ava O’Neill, Aurika Jankute, Sarah Murphy, Lily McBennett & Emma Toale.

It’s hoped that the girls success will continue to inspire the pupils to work hard for further success & enjoyment in the years ahead.
