To mark World Mental Health Day Pieta are hosting a free webinar for Gaelic Games Clubs to recognise the signs of Suicide and Self- Harm. The presentation introduces the attendees to Pieta and the work that Pieta does around Suicide and Self-Harm prevention in Ireland. It also covers information such as the Risk factors and Myths/Facts. Pieta will offer attendees some practical tips as to how to spot the warning signs and make an initial intervention should they think that a family member/friend/colleague may be struggling with suicidal thoughts or self-harm, with a view to encouraging that person to seek professional help. The webinar finishes off with some information about maintaining our own health and wellbeing through self-care and stress management. The presentation is offered virtually and is around 30/40 minutes in duration, and Pieta will happily facilitate a Q&A afterwards.
