π Michael Bammel Malone Tournament Champions! π
A huge well done to our U13 team who did Dromintee GAC proud at the Michael Bammel Malone Tournament this weekend.
With 40 teams taking part on the day, our lads came out on top to win the Cup, showing incredible determination, skill, and teamwork throughout.
They came through a series of tough matches against sides from London (St Clarets), Roscommon (St Brigids), Tyrone (Trillick St Macartans) and Louth (Cuchulainn Gaels).
In testing wet conditions, the boys went unbeaten, winning every group game and finishing top of the table with strong team performances and a rock-solid defence.
Captains Aurimas Jankus and Paraic McGenity led from the front all day.
The final went right to the wire β ending in sudden death penalties, where Pearse Conlon made a vital save to clinch the win. A brilliant way to round off a great dayβs football. π§€β½οΈ
Thanks to all the parents and supporters who stood in the rain and backed the lads throughout β it didnβt go unnoticed. π
And a special word of thanks to Cooley Kickhams for hosting a top-class tournament from start to finish.
