A selection of our under 12 and under 14 boys took part in the Gary Murray tournament in Clonduff GAC today. This is the 50th year of Ireland's longest running juvenile tournament.
For the group stages our lads were placed in a very competitive group, with tough opposition. Unfortunately they lost 3 games by the slimmest of margins, this meant qualification for the Plate section of the knockout stages.
The team overcame Clonduff in the Quarter Final, Kilcoo in the Semi Final, and played a great game to win the Plate Final against St. Michaels Magheralin. A good outcome for a team not used to playing together each week.
We'd like to thank Clonduff GAC and the organisers of the tournament for the invite, and congratulations on an extremely well run event.
Thanks also to Maria and Shane McNamee from Noah Logistics for sponsoring our entry, and the after match burgers for all the lads!
