Our Senior team continued their excellent start to their league campaign with another impressive win this time at home to our close neighbours Killeavy. The away team got off to the perfect start with a goal for the first score of the game. Credit to the lads they quickly got over the initial set back and registered 4 unanswered points to lead 0-4 to 1-0 at the first water break. Killeavy then scored 2 points to our 1 leaving the sides level 0-5 to 1-2 in an intense and entertaining first half. The second half began much like the first and with much at stake for both teams before the championship next weekend the physicality levels never dropped during the entire contest. Thankfully our composure in possession and ability to tag on the important scores had us ahead at the second water break and most importantly full time. Well done to all the players and management, we look forward to our championship encounter against Maghery next Saturday 8th August 3.30pm @ Abbey Park.
