Our senior team made the trip to St Mary’s GFC Granemore this afternoon and returned home with another impressive 2 points in this Round 5 SFL 1A fixture. The opening quarter was tight but the decisive score in that period came from Niall Courtney as he registered a well taken goal off our first attack. The remainder of the first half was much the same and the home side were denied there own 3 pointer just before the break when Shane McCoy made a tremendous save to his left corner. Granemore to their credit battled bravely in the second half but Gareth Kilgallon’s goal following good work from Aaron Boyle paved the way for another away victory and one that keeps us top of the table with remaining fixtures against Pearse Og (H) Sun 20th Sept & Crossmaglen (A) Sun 27th sept.
