The Under 12.5 girls continued their good start to the season with a comprehensive win over Carrickcruppen.

Despite missing the injured Caoimhe O’Rourke and suffering an early blow with the loss of Lily McBennett the girls took an early stranglehold in the face of a physically stronger opposition.

The scores flowed early with Dromintee establishing an early lead which they would never relinquish.

Maggie Boden was the perfect target forward and was ably assisted by Grace Conlan and Caithlin Carnegie in the scoring stakes.

Two notable aspects of the performance was the tenacious defending by player of the match Cara Harris and the sharpshooting of both Grace Conlan and Mary Ellen McKinney.

Cruppen did manage to breach the Dromintee rearguard for three goals but the Dromintee girls kept the scoreboard ticking over with eight different players getting in the scoresheet.

That’s two wins from two for the girls who continue to impress with their work rate and attitude while accepting that work lies ahead on their skills.
