DROMINTEE 4-8 to EIRE OGS 3-1

Dromintee under 14 girls continued their league campaign with a hard fought win over a very strong Eire Og team on Saturday.

After a quick goal from the away team, the Dromintee girls settled into the game to lead by 4 points at the first water break and by half time with the addition of another three goals and a point the score was 4-4 to Eire Ogs 1-1 thanks largely to our very industrious forward line.

The second half started in the same vein as the first with our forwards on song for another 4 points but the Eire Og girls began get a foothold in the game and scored another two goals by the end of the game.

But for our strong defence in the latter stage of the game, the result could have been so different.

As it was, the Dromintee girls went on to win the game, Dromintee 4-8 to EIRE Ogs 3-1 and are now top of the league.
