The Under 12.5 continued their impressive run with a comprehensive win over neighbours Forkhill.

Despite starting slowly the girls settled with early scores from Grace Conlon, Maggie Boden and Caoimhe Byrne.

Goals followed from the same trio to give Dromintee a comfortable half time lead.

The girls workrate and attitude was the key difference between the sides and even allowing for personnel changes the side continued to dominate with an aggressive defensive display limiting the hosts to very few chances and even fewer scores.

A total of 10 players made it in to the scoresheet including impressive strikes from Mary Ellen McKinney, Sinead O’Neill Caitlin Carnegie and Annie Rice.

A lot of work remains ahead for this group and basic skills must improve for the stiffer challenges that lie ahead but the girls have a commendable attitude and workrate.

Special mention goes to the team captain on the day and birthday girl Caoimhe O’Rourke for his tireless running and link play which was an example for all.
