Our U13 Boys played at home with Armagh Harps providing the opposition.

The Dromintee lads played against a strong breeze in the first half which visitors tried to utilise by sending high ball into their full forward line which was cut out time and time again by Emmett Mullen who showed exceptional fielding of high ball and delivery out the field to our mid field paring of Tomas Fox and Gavin O’Rourke who distributed ball to our attacking half back line of Scott Harris and Cathal Rice with the reliable Petie Rice holding the center half back position to great effect. On the whistle for half time Dromintee lead by 0-14 to 1-02.

Following some positional changes at half time Dromintee started off where they left off in the first with Jarlath ONeill registering a point quickly followed by a goal and a flurry of points by Oisin Byrne who was well supported by Ollie Rice, Ben Mc Coy, Daragh Bolger all registering scores of their own.

While Armagh Harps on ocassions broke their gain lines the hard work of Kyle Mc Mahon, Louis Winters, Jake Mooney, Connor Graham, Kieran ONeill and Oliver Kissward ensured scores to the opposition were minimised.

Our last line of defence, Patrick Rice once again showed his courage in bringing off some point blank saves while his kick outs ensured the team were always on the front foot such was the accuracy of his kick out.

On the final whistle Dromintee finished 3-21 to 2-03 ahead.
