The Dromintee U-15s play Keady in the Athletic Grounds at 8pm on Thursday next in the Division 1 County Championship final. Victory in this fixture would mean that this team will have won four titles and remain undefeated for the entire season. (The team also completed a clean sweep at under 13 winning the league and championship).

The first trophy won was the Armagh Feile title where they defeated Thursday’s opposition in the final. This qualified the lads for the all-Ireland stages of the competition. On 2nd July in Kildare, Dromintee won all seven of their games defeating Durlas Og of Tipperary in an epic final. The all-Ireland trophy was presented by Uachtarán Clg to the captains and brought back to a tumultuous welcome at our club.

At the same time the team was building up a lead in the Armagh Division I League which they went on to win recording many easy victories.

The County Championship on Thursday will be the final piece of the jigsaw but victory will not be easy. The team qualified for the final after a hard won victory in Clady Friday last against Clan Eireann. Dromintee will start favourites, but mentors Aidan and Kevin will keep the lads focused and avoid complacency. It is expected that a large support will make the journey to Armagh to urge on the lads as they endeavour to succeed in this unique achievement.
