ABOUT US

Over the past half decade, our coaches, administrators and wider community have invested heavily in the development of our youth through Gaelic Games. Dromintee GAC provides an outlet for all of the children of the parish to play and in recent years that has produced more and more competitive players and teams.

Dromintee are now competitive in every age grade across boys and girls football in the county.

Recent achievements include:

•      U12 LGFA Division One League title x 2

•      U12 LGFA Division One Championship

•      U13 GAA Division One Title x 2

•      U14 LGFA Division Two Championship

•      U15 GAA Division One League

•      U15 GAA Division One Championship

•      Armagh GAA Feile Title

•      National GAA Feile Title

Dromintee now also produce the highest representation of any club within Armagh development squads. In 2022 we have had twenty-five players across male and female teams involved. That representation included two players on the Armagh LGFA u14 team that captured an Ulster title and two others on the Armagh LGFA u16 team that captured Ulster and All-Ireland titles.

Please contact Aidan O’Rourke (Coaching Officer) on 07557312853 for more information.

Our long-term goal is twofold. Firstly, we want to maintain and reinforce the practices that have allowed us to consistently produce strong numbers of competitive players. However, the next step is to build a pathway that allows us to bring all players through the older underage grades towards our senior teams effectively.

Dromintee want to build the best possible advice and coaching on and off the field to ensure our players and teams continue to develop. Simultaneously we want to build teams that are as well prepared as our competitors and can challenge for county titles at all grades.

To do this we want to develop what we can provide in key areas, which requires investment in:

1.   Strength & Conditioning
2.   Game Analysis (where necessary)
3.   Schools Coaching
4.   Team Coaching
5.   Nutritional Advice
6.   Additional Medical Support

The Coaching Committee have identified key initiatives to move forward our overall approach to how we develop our players and teams to ensure we remain competitive and build a platform for future success. This will require investment.

We are hoping to identify people who may be able to support this work in one of the following ways:

•        £10 per month(£120 annually) Click here to sign up

•        £20 per month (£240 annually) Click here to sign up

•        £30 per month(£360 annually) Click here to sign up

•        Personal donations that suit a particular donor - Please contact Michelle to set up alternative amounts

All donations will be recognised within the Cairde Dhromainn Tí and there are plans to offer bespoke items of clothing to thank members.

This can all be facilitated through either one-off or monthly support. Please consider if you might be in a position to support these specific objectives through the Cairde Dhromainn Tí initiative.
