The Ulster Council have today(Friday) clarified who can and cannot attend matches just ahead of the start of games tonight.

County Secretaries met and confirmed that “no spectators are permitted to attend games” in the Six Counties.

Currently only 30 people are allowed attend outdoor gatherings in the North but an exemption applies to allow a greater number if “you are taking part in or assisting with a sporting event. “

Supporters have no direct role in the staging of the event and therefore cannot attend.

The Ulster Council have appealed to everyone to adhere to the guidelines in order to “hasten the day when we can go back to attending games”

The guidelines are different for juvenile matches however whereby parents attending underage games and thereby transporting a child to play in that game are deemed to be assisting with the fixture and therefore are allowed to attend.
