Our u14 girls were matched this week again against division one opponents and acquitted themselves well against another of the best teams in the county.

Dromintee fought valiantly throughout with the scoreboard only getting away from them in the final quarter. Once again the full panel of twenty girls contributed strongly over the course of the hour against what was a big, physical Killeavy team.

As usual, the Dromintee girls set a ferocious pace to make life very difficult for a very talented team and scores were very difficult to come by at both ends in the opening quarter.

Killeavy were also able to close off space for what has been a free scoring Dromintee forward line and the tight marking posed a new challenge as our girls continue to learn.

The outstanding player on the night was full back Aoife Murphy, who won almost every ball played into her sector and cleared her lines expertly.

Dromintee: K Phillips, E Murphy, A Murphy, G Gallagher, M Martin, A Hoey, M Morgan, G O'Rourke (0-01), R Winters, S Muldoon, S Conlon (0-01), C Byrne, A O'Neill (0-02), E Murtagh, N Campbell (0-01). E McCrink for M Morgan, N Mulkerns for M Martin, A Murphy for K Phillips, A Byrne for E Murphy and P Toale for C Byrne.
